Police have arrested four people on suspicion of kidnapping after a woman was held captive in a Florida dog cage before making a daring escape.

She told residents of a property at Barnett Place in Pine Hills that she had just escaped after being held in a dog cage against her will.

Authorities from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the property around 2:10 p.m. Saturday and found the woman suffering minor injuries.

The unnamed victim was reportedly forced into a vehicle at gunpoint and her hands were later tied together with a cord.

According to police, it was reportedly an attempt to get her address to recover a possible stolen item.

Reed is facing an additional charge of heavy battery with a firearm after allegedly slapping a gun on the woman’s cheek while holding her hostage.

“The manner in which the firearm was used could have caused grievous bodily harm or permanent disfigurement,” the statement of the arrest said.

It added that Reed and the three other suspects “forcefully imprisoned, kidnapped or imprisoned the victim against their will for the purpose of causing bodily harm or terrorizing the victim.”

“This was done for the suspect to obtain information from the victim, namely the address of the victim, regarding a possible stolen item.”

An arrest report claimed that the four suspects taped her hands and feet together with duct tape and moth-sealed her.

Jackson, Holmes and Tromp allegedly helped her physically restrain her in the car as she tried to escape.

She was later held in a dog cage in Reed’s backyard before she managed to escape.

Police gave no details on how she escaped, but said she knocked on several doors in the area to seek help.

A resident at Barnett Place opened the door and called the police when they learned she was being held in a cage against her will.

Online prison records show that Jackson is facing a failure to appear charge on a previous petty larceny charge.
