Woman discovers ‘incredible’ note left on her car windshield by angry neighbors who say they are ‘fed up’ with her parking space

A woman has discovered an ‘incredible’ note left on her car’s windshield by angry neighbors who said they were ‘fed up’ with her parking space.

Lauren Ball received the note under her windshield wiper last Thursday after parking her car at Becker Close in Denton, Greater Manchester.

The note read, “We’re getting fed up with you thinking you can park wherever you want!” You don’t live on Becker Close at all.

‘You live at the front, you don’t park here. You must use your parking space. You use other people’s parking space if they need it.’

Ms Ball has to park her car on a side street near her house because there are double yellow lines outside her house, she explained, adding: “What’s frustrating is that I’m always very considerate of other people.

‘I have found the quietest road around me, I don’t park in someone’s spot, in front of someone’s house or on someone’s road, I also pay my taxes.

“The person has clearly been watching me, so if they approached me instead of writing an anonymous note, they would understand.”

She posted a photo of the note to the Denton and Haughton Green Community Group, where she received hundreds of responses, some even telling her the same thing happened to them.

Ms Ball said: ‘Since it was posted in the Denton and community chat I’ve noticed I’m not the first person to have had this note. A lady who lives in that street had her boyfriend visit and he also got the note.’

One of the comments read: ‘Incredible!! You pay your car tax and you can park wherever you want, as long as you don’t block anything,” as another user wrote, “It’s amazing how many people have no clue about out-of-home parking privileges.”
