Woman discovers boyfriend has one leg through ‘haunting’ photo

A young woman recalled the moment she found out her then-boyfriend was hiding a huge personal secret after taking a closer look at a ‘disturbing’ photo.
When she was 17, Tiffany from the US dated a ‘tall and beautiful’ boy she met at a rodeo show and they were together for nine months.
But after three months she noticed that he always wore long pants when it was hot and wouldn’t let her come to one of his basketball games.
After looking closely at a photo they took together, she realized she had been dating a man with ‘one leg’.
“If you ever thought you were blissfully unconscious, let me tell you about a time I dated a guy for three months before finding out he didn’t have a leg,” she said on a TikTok. video.

When she was 17, Tiffany (pictured) and her then-boyfriend were head over heels in love. But three months into the relationship, she noticed that he started acting “weird” and always wore long pants when it was hot. He wouldn’t let her attend his basketball games either.

In the clip, Tiffany said the two quickly became “inseparable” and “fell in love” shortly after meeting.
We saw each other every day, spent every waking moment together. We were young lovers. For three months, we dated. We were in love… we loved things,’ she said.
She then says that “a couple of weird things started happening” that she noticed.
‘He was showing up at my softball games, 32 degrees [Celsius] time wearing sweatpants. I’m like, what a weird fashion choice (but) I didn’t say anything,’ she said.
βOne time he put his arm around me and was limping. I was like, ‘Why are you limping?’ and he said, “Oh, it’s an old knee injury.” So I thought, okay, that makes sense.
Then, when she asked him to go watch him play a basketball game, he said, ‘You’re not allowed to come to my basketball games.’
‘I was like, ‘Why not?’ He said, “I don’t have performance…anxiety…I just don’t want you to come,” Tiffany continued.
“I was like, ‘Even if you’re the worst on the team, you’re like 198cm, you can’t be the worst on the team. You stand there and you’re better than half the other guys.'”
But he replied, ‘No, I just don’t want you to come.’
One night, the couple took a photo together before going out to dinner, which eventually helped Tiffany realize why her boyfriend was acting so strange.
“This image is disturbing,” he said and showed the image in the background of the two standing next to each other smiling.
“The next day I posted this photo on Facebook and the more I looked at it, the more I thought, ‘I think I’m being fooled.'”
Feeling confused, she decided to show the photo to her friends and ask for advice.
“I said, ‘Guys, I think my boyfriend only has one leg,'” she said.
‘They were like, ‘Why would I hide that from you?’ and I was like, “I don’t know. But I don’t know how to ask her if she has a leg because… How do you bring that up?”
The man finally came clean to Tiffany at the school prom, telling her that he had polio, a disease that causes paralysis. The two dated for nine months and then broke up when she went off to college.
In the weeks that followed, she tried to get her boyfriend to ‘open up’ and talk about what she assumed to be true.
When the couple attended her prom, he finally told her his secret.
“We had a house after prom where we would go to a lake, so he would have to wear a bathing suit,” she said.
“He took me to a park and said, ‘I need to talk to you about something.'”
She explained that she had polio, a disease that causes paralysis, and Tiffany told her that she knew something was wrong.
“I was like, ‘Listen, I suspected this for a couple of weeks and you made it really weird by not telling me,'” he said in response.
I asked, “What did you think I was going to do?” He replied, “I don’t know, you met me and you didn’t know, so I just moved on.”
‘I was like, ‘I guess, but three months? You hid it for three months?’ That’s how stupid and unconscious I am.
Despite this, the couple stayed together for “another six months” and then broke up after Tiffany went off to college.
Since then, the detailed video has been viewed a staggering 2.3 million times and thousands have been left in disbelief.

‘My husband did the same thing when we first went out. He was afraid that he would leave him. We were together 25 years before he passed away from cancer,β wrote one woman.
βI was with a guy for a year and he was missing his toes but I never asked him because I thought if he wanted to tell me he would,β said another.
