In Sydney’s eastern suburbs, a woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Varna Street in Clovelly around 5pm Friday after the 63-year-old woman was hit by a Toyota Hilux.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Saint Vincent Hospital in a critical condition.

NSW Police confirmed the woman died Saturday morning.

The driver of the Hilux, a 40-year-old man, was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing.

“Officers from the Eastern Beaches Police Area Command have identified a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit is investigating,” police said.

Police are also seeking assistance in an accident where a pedestrian was injured on Parramatta Rd, Annandale just before 2.30am.
