A woman was arrested after doing a nude photo shoot at a popular seaside sculpture in Mexico.
Video footage showed Olga Larrea stepping onto the base of the La Perla sculpture in the city of La Paz on Saturday and quickly taking off her dress as a photographer took pictures.
The 30-year-old then threw her clothes at the photographer and climbed on top of the monument, which resembles a pearl stuck in an open mussel.
She posed in the image as traffic slowed along the two-lane avenue next to the promenade and bystanders looked on in shock.
Larrea then signaled to her photographer to hand her her dress and climbed down.
The Mexico City resident was approached by police and arrested.
She was taken to the local prosecutor’s office and released after paying a fine of 3,365 Mexican pesos, or about $163.
Larrea had posted the photoshoot photos to her Facebook account before deleting them.

The nudist model criticized the authorities for arresting and fining her. ‘Why is the human body censored, but violence is not?’ she said
The nudist was critical of the authorities for not giving her the right to express herself.
“Guess who was arrested for simply existing?” she wrote.
‘Why is the human body censored, but violence is not?
‘Nudity is not offensive, it is natural. Let’s stop shaming, reclaim our freedom and normalize humanity.’
Social media users condemned Larrea for this move.
“Let her show off her body in another naked place where she won’t damage any sculptures,” one person said.
Another commented that authorities should prosecute her fully instead of letting her walk away with a fine.
