A 40-year-old woman crashed from the sixth floor of a swanky Manhattan apartment building on Tuesday morning.

An NYPD source told DailyMail.com that at 7:14 a.m. emergency services were called to 157 East 57th Street in the Sutton Place neighborhood of New York City. The building is located near the third avenue.

A woman was found with injuries consistent with a fall, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The source has not identified the woman. A witness to the incident told DailyMail.com that the deceased woman had blond hair and was wearing a red dress when she was found.

The woman left a suicide note, reports the New York Post.
