Police responded to a shooting in Harris County, Texas, that left several people shot and at least two dead.
During a news conference, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said two women were dead at the scene.
“One of the individuals who was pronounced dead at the scene here is believed to be the homeowner, she is 65 years old,” Gonzalez said.
“The second woman declared deceased at the location here, believed to be 28 years old, is believed to be her daughter-in-law.”
According to authorities, the daughter-in-law and her husband, also 28 years old, live at the address. They believe the daughter-in-law is one of the people who initially called for help.

At approximately 10:16 a.m., they received calls for assistance due to a verbal disturbance between a couple, both people in their mid-to-late 20s.
Shortly thereafter, at 10:26 a.m., the calls changed and it became an active shooter situation.
“Upon arrival we discovered that several people had been shot here at the location. “It appears most of the shooting took place inside the home, but there are also some firearms outside the home,” the sheriff said.
“We believe there was a total of approximately seven different individuals involved in this type of situation, each with a different role… at least three individuals may have shot.”
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on Facebook that officers responded to a shooting on the 8700 block of Cypressbrook Drive on Sunday morning.
He said the shooting may have been the result of a family dispute, likely over a breakup or divorce.
