A woman who ‘hates’ work has revealed how she juggles two full-time jobs in a bid to retire in her early 30s.
Jane, who has chosen not to reveal her last name, is only 24 but has already set her sights on enjoying the beautiful life of retirement.
Based in Toronto, Canada, the young woman currently works approximately 73 hours per week as a marketing specialist and customer service representative.
The jobs give her a combined income of $120,000 a year, much of which she sets aside to save for a more relaxed future.

Based in Toronto, Canada, the young woman currently works approximately 73 hours per week as a marketing specialist and customer service representative.
“I hate working, so I’m motivated to work twice as hard to get there twice as fast,” Jane said.
Her current positions are both remote. Her marketing work earns her $80,700 a year, while she is paid $18 an hour, plus commission for her customer service role.
She recently filmed a typical day in her life on TikTok, spending her long days working back-to-back.
For the marketing job, she works from 9am to 5pm, with an hour’s lunch break in between, before jumping straight into a 5pm to 9pm shift in customer service.
The post went viral and was viewed nine million times, leaving other TikTok users wondering if her heavy workload was worth it.
Someone commented, “Is it really worth wasting your youth by retiring a few years early?”
“Staring at a screen all day,” someone else said.
Someone else added: ‘You’ll retire with no memories, life experiences or friends.’

But for Jane, it’s all worth it for that end goal: to be financially free within ten years
“I respect the grind but don’t forget to live,” said one follower.
Another user commented: ‘I couldn’t sit from 9am to 10pm.’
But for Jane, it’s all worth it for that end goal: to be financially free within ten years.
She said: “I took on a second full-time job during the pandemic when everything switched to remote working. I now work about 70-73 hours a week.
‘My goal is to retire by the time I’m 30. “Retirement” to me is a little more in line with the FI/RE definition of financial independence in early retirement, which broadens to include living frugally or making money in non-traditional ways.”
According to NerdWallet“Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) is a lifestyle movement that prioritizes extreme saving and investing to retire earlier than traditional methods allow.
“FIRE investors strive for financial freedom so they can choose how they spend their time.
“People who use FIRE to retire early do so by dramatically reducing their expenses, finding ways to increase their income, and investing the money they save in a mix of tax-advantaged accounts and regular investment accounts.”
