A Los Angeles makeup artist has shared a hair horror story that’s sure to make you feel better about your worst hair day.
Beauty professional Andrea Sanchez22, has found viral fame after spending $1,300 on hair extensions and a grow-out at her regular hairdresser, only to have her locks fall out due to severe bleach damage.
The so-called ‘chemical cut’ left Andrea with burnt, super short, bright pink hair, and the hairdresser refused to give her a full refund.
Andrea revealed the horrible hair experience on TikTok in September and quickly went viral, with followers offering their support.

Andrea shared her hair journey on TikTok, explaining how her hair suddenly felt gummy and fell out, leaving her with much shorter hair than ever that grew extremely slowly.
In one of her videos, the beauty guru explained that she “literally cried” after going for her “regular root retouch” and coming out with chemically burned hair.
Andrea said it took a long time to get an appointment because her hairstylist was busy, but she thought it would “work out fine” because she had longer roots.
The makeup artist said, “The problem is she put bleach all over my hair, from root to tip,” which led to her hair extensions falling out three days later and her hair feeling gummy.
Andrea said she had a small mohawk on her head and two months later had very little hair.
Many commenters shared their support, with one writing, “I feel like no one understands how traumatizing a chemical cut feels until it happens to them,” referring to what happens when hair is treated with too much bleach, becomes weak and breaks off easily. .

Andrea then shared the experience with her shocked Instagram followers, captioning the Reel: ‘It’s hard to process that millions of people saw me at what I think is one of my lowest moments.’
“Things are happening, and unfortunately the beautiful red/pink hair I once had is gone… but this storm will have a beautiful rainbow at the end,” the makeup artist promised her followers.

Andrea’s Instagram followers were equally encouraging, saying: ‘I’m not a hairstylist, not even a beauty professional, we all know not to bleach your already bleached hair again… she really messed you up!’ They also urged her to get a lawyer.
Andrea then shared her texts with the hairdresser on TikTok, talking about how her hair was falling out and not getting much support or even an offer for a full refund.
Instead, the hairstylist seemed to blame Andrea for the bleaching problems, explaining that she no longer thought she was the hairstylist for her.

After the months-long stylist saga, a Los Angeles-based hairstylist Alfredo Lewis reached out when he saw her TikTok videos after gaining several followers begged the hair guru famous for his solutions to help hair.
Luckily, with the help of his team, Alfredo was able to completely transform Andrea’s hair with a color correction and later, long, honey brown hair extensions.

Andrea shared the final results on TikTok and thanked the team involved for helping her regain her confidence after the chemical reduction

Alfredo, whose TikTok bio reads, “Saving clients from hair disasters, one head at a time,” shared the end of the hair journey on his own TikTok.
The celebrity fixer declared that her long “hair nightmare” finally had “a happy ending.”
Alfredo explained, “After she paid $1,300 for a touch-up with bleach and extensions: all her hair broke off. A month later we collected her for free.’
Commentators rejoiced, calling it “justice for Andrea,” writing, “This act restores humanity.”
Despite the TikTok drama, Andrea still not refunded by her original stylist.
