Wolves have reportedly identified Queens Park Rangers manager Michael Beale as their number 1 target to become their next boss.
The struggling Premier League side sacked Bruno Lage at the start of the month and after the loss to Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening. the athletic report that Wolves have now identified Beale as their priority target.
It is said that there has been no contact between Wolves and QPR so far, but the Championship side, who are currently sixth in the table, are expected to fight to keep their manager amid talks over a release clause.

Beale’s stock has risen this season, leading QPR to a quick start in the championship.
QPR will face Cardiff City tonight and QPR fans will be frustrated at the timing of reports that Wolves are reportedly ready to move for their manager.
Beale is seen as ‘an exciting, forward-thinking appointment’ who would be a distraction from their recent hires.
Beale, 42, took the QPR job in June but has already attracted the attention of Premier League clubs.
He has worked on his coaching at Chelsea and Liverpool academies before becoming assistant manager at Brazil’s Sao Paulo in 2017.
The QPR boss worked closely with Steven Gerrard during their time together at the Liverpool academy.
That relationship saw Beale hook up with Gerrard at Rangers and then Aston Villa, before leaving in the summer to pursue his ambitions as number 1 rather than number 2.
