Wolves captain Mario Lemina THROWS West Ham star Jarrod Bowen to the floor in fiery post-match clash after his side suffer defeat on the road
Wolves captain Mario Lemina sparked a post-match brawl after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Monday evening.
The Hammers took all three points after Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek struck on the night, with Matt Doherty grabbing a goal that failed to spark the visitors into life.
Emotions ran high after the final whistle as Lemina expressed his frustrations with West Ham star Bowen by throwing him to the ground during post-match handshakes.
Bowen’s teammates immediately rushed over and confronted the Wolves captain, causing an on-field scuffle between the teams for several minutes.
Speaking on Sky Sports, former West Ham striker Jermain Defoe said: ‘You understand being clear [Lemina’s] frustrations. They lose the game.
“But honestly, they haven’t done enough, Wolves. I think you just have to get off the field. Clap for the fans, do what you have to do and leave the field. Enter the tunnel’.
