Wolves are keen on West Ham striker Danny Ings, although Hammers boss David Moyes is reluctant to lose Ings at this stage following Michail Antonio's setback in his recovery from a knee injury.

West Ham want a wide player and have added Steven Bergwijn from Ajax to their options.

Danny Ings joined the Hammers in 2023 and has scored three times for the London club, although Wolves are reportedly keen to sign the former Southampton star.

As Wolves look to strengthen their attacking options with top scorer Hwang Hee-Chan away at the Asia Cup, West Ham have added Steven Bergwijn to their watchlist.

Bergwijn fits what the Hammers are looking for in wider areas, with the young winger scoring 24 goals in 62 appearances for the Eredivisie side.

Ings has yet to score for West Ham in 17 games in all competitions this season and has made just one start in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old's current contract runs until 2025, but he may be open to a move that could see him play regularly.

Hwang Hee-Chan is Wolves' top scorer in the league this season with ten goals, while Matheus Cunha has scored six times, but the arrival of Ings would provide them with extra firepower.

Wolves are trying to avoid breaching the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

Ings has a lot of Premier League experience thanks to his spells at Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and Aston Villa.

Gary O'Neil's side currently sit 11th in the Premier League and believe Ings' signing could help them go even further.

Ings did not feature prominently in David Moyes' team this season, starting just one league match

O'Neil was frustrated by refereeing decisions in Wolves' 1–1 draw with Brentford in the FA Cup third round.

The Wolves boss claimed Brentford should have had two players sent off, including Keane Lewis-Potter, for catching Nelson Semedo late in the match.

O'Neil said: 'I wasn't given any explanation. I also got two yellow cards, hard cards, so I had to be very careful.

“I don't think I've earned the last two so I don't really know where the line is, so if I ask questions and have conversations it could lead to me being booked.”
