Woke Soros-funded Oakland DA Pamela Price will face recall vote after nearly 80,000 signed petition to oust her over soaring crime in Dem-led city
Progressive Oakland District Attorney Pamela Price will face a recall after just 15 months in office, with a mass movement to get rid of getting enough signatures due to rising crime rates in the area.
Alameda County DA Price is under pressure over the Bay Area city’s rising crime rate, with a recall effort she says “funded by billionaires” and based on “hate and racism” gaining momentum.
Price himself has taken over $1 million from three political action committees funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros. Washington Times.
Save Alameda For Everyone (SAFE) has collected the 73,195 valid signatures needed to trigger a recall against Price, according to the Registrar of Voters.
The city’s Board of Supervisors says they will discuss the recall at a meeting on April 30, but those involved in the recall campaign are demanding that it be scheduled within the next 125 days, according to California state law.

Price was elected as the county’s first Black district attorney in 2022 with 53 percent of the vote and a liberal wish list of policies including reducing mass incarceration, lower sentences for people under 25 and police reforms.
Those sponsoring the recall have said she has gone too far in her leniency on crime and is not making the province safe.
“Today marks a historic moment for our community,” said Brenda Grisham, organizer with SAFE.
“The resounding support for this recall petition sends a clear message that the people of Alameda County demand accountability and ethical leadership from their elected officials.”
The recall effort has raised more than $2 million and hired a consultant who successfully took out San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin in 2022, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
There are progressives who still support Price and suggest the effort is being funded by carpetbaggers and real estate lobbyists.
The largest donation was $390,000 from Oakland resident and financier Phillip Dreyfuss.
Price himself has not yet commented on the recalls. DailyMail.com has contacted her office.

In the past, she has claimed that the campaign against her is “funded by billionaires who have no interest in public safety,” the newspaper said. Chronicle.
“I intend to push back against the hatred and racism they have brought to Alameda County,” Price said in March, after a panel with other prosecutors at the University of California, Berkeley.
It comes after she was accused of regularly labeling “the media and Asians” as her enemies in a $1.5 million legal filing.
Patti Lee, who worked as Price’s spokesperson for about six months last year until firing her, said the district attorney “constantly and openly” made derogatory comments about Asian Americans.
Her legal claim – a precursor to a lawsuit – alleges she was fired for anti-Asian discrimination, and after complaining about dereliction of duty in the office.
She is seeking a $1.5 million settlement for emotional distress resulting from retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination and failure to pay wages.
Oakland saw crime increase 21 percent between 2022 and 2023. The number of robberies increased by 38 percent, while car theft increased by 45 percent.
Last year, 15,000 cars were stolen in the dystopian city, meaning that about one in 30 residents had their car stolen.
