Woke Oakland residents deny Hamas  October 7 massacre and BOO Jewish speakers at town meeting where they blasted anyone who disagreed with them as ‘white supremacists’

Ultra-liberal residents of the Californian city of Oakland booed their Jewish neighbors and denied Hamas’ attack on October 7 during a shocking town meeting on Monday evening.

The city council voted on a permanent ceasefire resolution demanding peace in the Middle East. The residents exchanged their thoughts for six hours, starting with a moment of silence for the civilian victims.

At the end of the meeting, the resolution was passed unanimously. Local Jewish groups say it was a pointless exercise that will have no impact on the conflict and will only serve to spread anti-Semitism in the US.

Among them was Jewish city councilman Dan Kalb, who was eviscerated when he dared to suggest that the wording of the resolution be changed to include the October 7 attack.

He did not want to whitewash October 7 and saw fit to add it to the resolution before voting on it, but was angered by local residents who said it was “racist” to call Hamas a terrorist organization.

Other Jewish residents booed as they took the stage to propose changing the language.

“Calling Hamas a terrorist organization is ridiculous, racist and plays on genocidal propaganda that is flooding our media and that we must do everything possible to combat,” said a young woman who hid her face with a COVID mask.

This woman claimed that Israel had murdered its own citizens. “There have been no beheadings of babies or rapes. Israel murdered its own people on October 7!' she said

“I support the right of Palestinians to resist the occupation, including through Hamas, the armed wing of the United Palestinian Resistance,” said another young resident wearing a COVID mask

“The idea that this was a mass murder of Jews is a fabricated story. Many of those killed on October 7, including children, were killed by the IDF. An amendment condemning Hamas is bald propaganda,” this woman said

Instead, they said the IDF had killed their own people and claimed that any suggestion otherwise was “genocidal propaganda.”

Tye Gregory, CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council for the Bay Area, was also there. He described it as “one of the most anti-Semitic rooms” he had ever been in.

He criticized the local council for even holding the meeting when the outcome would have no impact on the conflict.

“They should be focusing on police, housing and education issues and not on the most intractable foreign policy issue we have on this planet,” he told Jewish News of Northern California.

Many of those who spoke in favor of Hamas covered their faces with N-95 Covid masks. These were their comments.

The resolution was adopted unanimously. Kalb said he was “disappointed” in his colleagues for not supporting him.
