Woke NYC college professor is FIRED after hurling swear words at students for pro-life stance

A professor at a New York City art school has been fired after she aggressively taunted pro-life students on campus and then stabbed a journalist with a machete.

Shellyne Rodriguez, 46, was an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College.

Earlier in May, she angrily confronted students manning a pro-life booth in the college, angrily verbally abused them, and then vandalized the exhibit.

When asked about the incident at her home in the Bronx, Rodriguez drew a machete and held it to the throat of the reporter at her door, threatening to dismember him.

When New York Post reporter Reuven Fenton and his photographer colleague left, she followed them out the front door, machete still in hand.

“Hunter College strongly condemns Shellyne Rodriguez’s unacceptable actions and has taken immediate action,” said Vince Dimiceli, a spokesperson for the school.

He told The Post: “Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately and will not be returning to teach at the school.”

It also emerged on Tuesday that Rodriguez is suing the NYPD after she was arrested in 2020 during the George Floyd protests.

Rodriguez claims in her lawsuit that police officers pulled her hair, pushed her face against a gate and punched her repeatedly in the stomach.

She was arrested in the Bronx and put in a police van with 14 others.

She had tied her hands with zip ties, which she said were tied so tightly for two hours that they caused her permanent nerve damage, which affected her ability to create art.

The charges against her were dropped in September 2020: she is due to appear in court in July for the next hearing in her case.

Rodriguez’s recent drama began when a pro-life group posted a video showing her dropping out of what was promoted as an educational exhibit at Hunter College.

“You don’t teach,” Rodriguez said to one of the students.

“This is fucking propaganda. What are you going to do next, like anti-trans?

‘These are bulls***. This is violent. You trigger my students.’

A pro-abortion group on campus called on students to defend Rodriguez’s attack on pro-life students

While conservatives and pro-lifers are outraged, a group called CUNY for Abortion Rights is defending Rodriguez

One of the male students tries to talk to Rodriguez before she interrupts and says, “You can’t even have a goddamn baby.”

Rodriguez then starts shoving their pamphlets off the display table and demands that they “get this son of a bitch out of here.”

She offers another “f*** this s***” before walking away, as the two students try to put their pamphlets back in place.

While conservatives and pro-lifers were outraged, a group called CUNY for abortion rights defended Rodriguez.

Despite her angry and foul-mouthed insults, the group insists Rodriguez delivered “constructive criticism” of the anti-abortion display.

The members, who have not been identified, added: ‘Her actions to shut down the table were fully justified.

They added, “We stand with Shellyne Rodriguez and stand against the right-wing anti-abortion movement she is experiencing!”

In several panels they described what happened in the aftermath of Rodriguez’s diatribe.

“On May 12, Shellyne was summoned to the Hunter Provost’s office, where she was questioned by the Provost and the Dean, Diversity and Campus Relations.”

Her resignation was not confirmed until Tuesday, after the attack on the reporter.
