WNBA’s Satou Sabally tears up ‘disgusting’ Lynx fans after he harassed the Wings forward amid ankle injury

Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally lashed out at the Minnesota Lynx fan base, calling them “disgusting” after three fans were ejected after allegedly yelling at her during the game.
The three fans in question were removed from the Target Center after supposedly mocking Sabally as she dealt with an ankle injury on the floor following a flagrant foul.
After recovering, Sabally hit both free throws to make the scoreline 85-81. She then blew a kiss to the crowd and put her hand to her ear. further aggravating events before Dallas finally lost 91-86.
“Disgusting fan base in Minny,” Sabally wrote on X on Tuesday night after the game.
“The joy of seeing someone get hurt can’t be WNBA culture. Terrible words from the sidelines all game long.’

Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve apologized to Sabally after the game, as well as Wings coach Latricia Trammell.
“There’s clearly no room for that,” Reeve said via The Star Stand. ‘I was disappointed.
“Our fans are passionate. You just can’t cross the line of celebrating someone’s injury.”
Such a sentiment was echoed by Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, who claimed the taunts were “super inappropriate.”
“It’s getting competitive and tensions are high on the pitch, but we never want anyone to get hurt,” she said.
“Celebrating that is super inappropriate and is not something that represents who we are as Lynx.”
