The wife of New York Liberty superstar Breanna Stewart received a viciously homophobic email – and this doesn’t appear to be the first time.
According to the New York Post, Stewart’s wife – former professional basketball player Marta Xargay Casademont – showed up at New York City’s 78th Precinct in Brooklyn on Thursday to report the email she received.
The email read in part: ‘I hope someone shoots your wife, fuck you d***s [sic]”I hope you both die.”
The Post added that a memo from NBA security said the email was sent from “an Internet address that has been associated with other hateful messages, including death threats, bomb threats and more racist rhetoric.”
Representatives for the New York Liberty did not respond to a request for comment from the Post.
