Preamble
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the highly anticipated 2024 WNBA Draft. A historic March Madness, featuring record viewership and attendance and incredible basketball, ended with the South Carolina Gamecocks defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes to take home their third title.
Some of the NCAA tournament’s biggest stars are here tonight to be called up to the professional league, including Iowa’s Caitlin Clarke, who is widely expected to be the No. 1 pick, and South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso, the MOP of the NCAA. Also expected to be called up tonight are Stanford’s Cameron Brink, UConn’s Aaliyah Edwards, LSU’s Angel Reese and Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson.
From the first round picks to the possible sleeper selections, join me for what is sure to be a fun evening as we watch some of college basketball’s greatest players begin their professional careers. Let the drafting begin.
