Wiz Khalifa praised President Joe Biden for his steps to end the criminalization of marijuana possession and use.
The 35-year-old rapper spoke to TMZ Hip Hop on the 79-year-old president’s marijuana reform measures he announced earlier this week.
“It’s great to see things moving in the right direction,” said Wiz Khalifa. “Cannabis laws have negatively impacted people for far too long.”

Earlier this week, Joe Biden released a video announcing three major changes to the federal criminalization of marijuana.
First, the president announced a federal pardon for all people convicted of simple marijuana possession.
He then called on state governors to also pardon those convicted of state marijuana possession.

Finally, Biden announced that he would ask the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, and the Attorney General, Merrick Garland, to begin a process to reclassify marijuana from a Schedule I substance.
According to the drug enforcement agency. Heroin, ecstasy, and LSD are all examples of Schedule I substances.
Khalifa is a well-known marijuana user and has his own brand of cannabis products.
