From the OnePlus 12 you get a fully featured and powerful Android device with a striking design. It lacks the AI smarts of its competitors, but thanks to a fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a super sharp 120Hz display and excellent battery capacity, it ticks all the boxes when it comes to hardware. In our eyes, it’s a great buy considering it’s a phone similar in size to the Galaxy S24 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max, but much easier on the wallet.
If you have a larger budget, the OnePlus 12R is also a good choice. It’s essentially a refreshed version of last year’s OnePlus 11 with a better screen, a bigger battery and a lower starting price. There are some compromises with the camera and the device doesn’t support wireless charging, but it’s a good option right now if you want to spend $500 or less on a device.
