Wisemans Ferry: Toddler rushed to hospital after near-drowning at popular swimming spot

A toddler has been rushed to hospital after a 'near-drowning' incident at a popular swimming spot on the NSW Central Coast.

The little girl, who was swimming with her mother, was pulled from the water near Wisemans Ferry just after 2pm on Saturday.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital by intensive care helicopter.

The toddler remains in a stable condition at Westmead Children's Hospital

According to CareFlight, the toddler was flown to Westmead Children's Hospital in a stable condition.

Surrounded by national parks, Wisemans Ferry is a small tourist town about 75 km northwest of Sydney.

The historic city is located on the Hawkesbury River.
