Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson went on a bizarre rampage when he appeared on Fox News claiming that the Covid pandemic was “pre-planned” by unnamed elites.

The Republican appeared on the news channel together with presenter Maria Bartiromo and talked about the pandemic and vaccines.

During the interview, Johnson wildly claimed that the pandemic was planned as part of an ongoing plan to take away freedom from Americans.

The 68-year-old said: “We are entering a very dangerous path, which has been mapped out and planned by an elite group of people who want to take total control of our lives.

They do that little by little. They really risk taking away all our sovereignty. But people need to wake up to the dangers of the moment.’

He said, “The doctors I have dealt with believe that hundreds of thousands of Americans have lost their lives because they have been denied early treatment.

“They were denied because the FDA sabotaged Ivermectin by saying, ‘Come on, you’re not a cow, you’re not a horse.’

“This was a noble prize-winning drug that could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

Johnson continued, “This is all pre-planned by an elite group of people. This is very concerning in terms of what has happened, what is happening, what is still being planned for our loss of freedom.

“It needs to be revealed, but unfortunately there are very few people in Congress willing to look at this, they’ve all pushed a vaccine.

“So many people just don’t want to admit they were wrong and they’re going to do everything they can to make sure they don’t turn out to be wrong.

“We’re up against a very powerful group of people here, Maria.”

After his Fox interview, Johnson claimed on his Twitter page that the FDA had “quietly” approved the use of Ivermectin.

Ivermectin gained notoriety during the Covid pandemic due to claims by fringe medics that it could be a suitable treatment and even an alternative to vaccination, despite a lack of credible evidence.

Ivermectin gained notoriety during the Covid pandemic due to claims by fringe medics that it could be a suitable treatment and even an alternative to vaccination, despite a lack of credible evidence.

Johnson referred to an ongoing legal battle between the FDA and three doctors who accuse the agency of threatening their right to prescribe ivermectin as a treatment for covid.

The FDA has not approved the drug to fight Covid-19, but admitted doctors have the power to prescribe if they choose.

During the pandemic, the senator had made multiple podcast and radio appearances promoting Ivermectin as a treatment for Covid.

At the time, Johnson had advocated the use of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin as treatments.

Ivermectin is commonly used to deworm livestock and is approved for use in humans to treat parasitic infections.

The drug gained popularity among conservatives after commentators touted the anti-parasitic drug as a panacea for the coronavirus and other illnesses.

The Food and Drug Administration has not approved it for use in the treatment of COVID-19 and warns that misusing ivermectin can be harmful and even fatal.
