Bride and glory! Stunning Images Showcase International Wedding Photographer of the Year Award Winners

These couples were lucky enough to have their special days captured in award-winning style by their wedding photographers.
From epic images in the rain to a groom chasing his veil on a windy day in Melbourne, this year’s winners of the sixth International Wedding Photographer of the Year have certainly captured some spectacular images. There were 10 categories in the competition this year, including best solo portrait and dance floor photo, as well as one overall grand winner and one runner-up. The top award went to Dee Kampe of Finder Seeker Photography of Melbourne, Australia, who surpassed more than 1,700 images submitted by more than 330 wedding photographers from around the world. Dee captured a groom trying to catch his partner’s veil after it was unexpectedly blown away by a gust of wind (pictured), explaining: “As Jono ran after him, (bride) Liana, amused by the whole debacle , he laughed and embraced the situation for what it was. Germany-based Rossi Mechanezidis produced this stunning photograph using the illuminated trees as a background as the couple shared an affectionate embrace for the camera.
Photographer Federica Ariemma captured this wedding image in October in Puglia, Italy. The wind caused the veil to wrap around the face of the bride to create this impressive scene.
Italy-based Francesco Brunello took home the award for best dance floor shot after capturing this fun-filled scene at a wedding. Guests hold balloons as they surround the couple as they stand near the luxurious wedding cake.
Cat + Jeff of Vancouver-based The Apartment Photography produced this photograph, capturing the groomsmen in a scenic moment. He received the award for the best photograph of the Bridal Party.
