“She said, ‘I know you don’t feel like you deserve this kind of thing, and you don’t – none of you deserve it. But you’re worth it, and I want you to remember that.'”

While many viewers appreciated Candi’s recollection of events, some thought Oprah’s comment was an underhanded compliment.

However, Candi defended Oprah in a follow-up video, saying the media mogul had good intentions and said her piece after hearing audience members say they felt unworthy of the awards.

“She meant it very, very sweetly,” Candi explained.

In another clip, the TikToker reveals how the process of getting the car was “interesting” since the show was filmed in 2010, but the vehicle she won was a 2012 model “so it didn’t come out until the following fall.”

She finally got her car in October 2011 and out of four colors to choose from, she chose cherry red.

The Oprah show covered all expenses, including the taxes.

In a TikTok, Candi reveals that she still has the car and that she will “ride that thing until the wheels fall off.”

There is currently just over 130,000 kilometers on the clock. Along with a car, Candi won a wealth of other goods.

On the day of filming, she went home with an iPad, diamond earrings, a Nordstrom gift card for a bra fitting, Le Creuset cookware, a Coach wallet, and “a few other little things.”

She also received some edibles as a gift, such as “a chicken pie and croissants and tea.”

However, she revealed that all the clothes and shoes she won had to be ordered later to make sure the size was correct.

She explained, “The things that were size specific, like the Uggs, the jeans, the [cashmere] sweater, we were given little cards with a code on them and we had to go to the website and enter the code and choose our size and then they shipped everything to us.”
