William Jackson Harper has been cast in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The 42-year-old actor is the latest to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, insiders have told Varietywith his role as ‘a well-kept secret’.
Harper acknowledged his casting in a tweet Thursday, writing in response to the Variety piece, “Cub. Okay then.’
The latest: William Jackson Harper, 42, has been cast in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He was caught at Comic-Con in 2019 in San Diego
The Dallas native joins a star-studded cast that includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas, who appeared in previous films Ant-Man in 2015 and Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018.
The actor was nominated for an Emmy for his work on NBC as The Good Place, in which he played the role of Chidi Anagonye.
Harper has appeared in shows such as The Resort for Peacock, Love Life on HBO Max and The Breaks on VH-1.
He was also featured in the Amazon Prime Video shows The Underground Railroad and Jack Ryan.

Harper was featured on The Late Late Show with James Corden earlier this year
Harper has appeared in films such as They Remain, We Broke Up and The Man in the Woods.
He has upcoming projects including the sci-fi film Landscape with Invisible Hand; the Daria spin-off film Jodie opposite Tracee Ellis Ross; and the limited series on Netflix, A Man in Full.
Kathryn Newton will join the film franchise as Cassie Lang, the adult daughter of Rudd’s Scott Lang in the franchise, which chronicles the Ant-Man family.
Ant-Man took in $180 million at the domestic box office in 2015 and $519 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Ant-Man and the Wasp fared even better at the box office in 2018, with $216 million domestically and $622 million worldwide.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to release on February 17, 2023.
