William is ‘still hurting about what Harry put the Queen through’ and his brother’s attacks on Kate

Prince William is “still hurt and angry about what Prince Harry did to the Queen” in her final years and his brother’s attacks on the Princess of Wales, the Daily Mail’s royal editor claimed.

Appears in the most recent episode of Palace confidentialRebecca English discussed the state of William and Harry’s relationship ahead of King Charles’ coronation on May 6.

Earlier this month, the Duke of Sussex confirmed he will be attending the state event without his wife Meghan Markle – who will remain in California with their two children, Prince Archie, three, and Princess Lilibet, one.

Reflecting on Harry and William’s relationship in recent years, the royal expert said those closest to them told her they “couldn’t imagine a time when they wouldn’t work things out.”

She said: ‘[William and Harry] been through so much together. But those same people aren’t saying that now.’

Rebecca discussed the Prince of Wales’s current feelings towards his brother and continued: ‘I know William is not only hurt, but he is very angry.

“Not just for himself, but for what Harry did to their late grandmother, the things he said about his father and also [William’s] own wife.’

As such, Rebecca says it will take “much more” than Prince Harry flying over for the coronation for their relationship to heal.

In the last few years of her life, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched a series of scathing attacks on the royal family, including their interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired while Prince Philip was in hospital.

In addition, Richard Eden, editor of the Daily Mail’s Diary, said Prince Harry had portrayed his brother as a “bad guy” in his biography.

He added: “If I were Prince William I would avoid Prince Harry like the plague [at the coronation].’

One of the most explosive claims Prince Harry made in his biography Spare was that a “scorching hot” Prince William “hit him on a dog bowl which cut his back” during an argument at Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

The Duke of Sussex claimed the altercation took place in early 2019 as the brothers argued over their relationship, Harry’s spat with the press and Meghan Markle.

Moreover, the Princess of Wales did not come out of Prince Harry’s memoirs unscathed either.

Prince Harry not only described a series of awkward moments on the Royal Foundation forum in 2018, but also shared tense text messages between Kate and Meghan about Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress.

Prince Harry shares his side of the story at the core of “Megxit,” saying his sister-in-law reached out to Meghan after Princess Charlotte “cryed when she tried it on at home.”

Harry insisted the incident was caused by his sister-in-law Kate, who seemed annoyed that it had taken Meghan a day to get back to her about the issue.

The disagreement between the two women was, he claims, exacerbated by Kate’s reluctance to visit Meghan’s tailor at Kensington Palace and suggestions to throw a party for the pageboys when his bride-to-be was busy arguing with her father. , Thomas Markle.

In February 2021, the Queen confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not be returning to the UK as senior working royals after their years-long trial of ‘Megxit’.

The late monarch described the couple as “dearly loved members of the family” at the time and said she was “saddened by their decision.”

The statement said Meghan and Harry had “written affirming that it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service by relinquishing the work of the Royal Family.”

Minutes later, the pair fired back with their own statement saying they ‘remain committed to their duty and service to the UK and the rest of the world’.

They added, “We can all live lives of service. Service is universal.’

Earlier this month, a new biography claimed the late Queen felt Prince Harry’s devotion to his wife “clouded his judgment.”

The news is revealed in Robert Jobson’s new book Our King: Charles III – The Man And The Monarch Revealed.

In the run-up to Megxit, the late monarch is said to have not enjoyed her long conversations with her grandson, whom she found difficult and his behavior strange.

A source said: ‘Her Majesty found Prince Harry’s phone calls quite difficult and exhausting. She wouldn’t interfere in the father-son relationship and would urge him to talk to his father.’

But Prince Charles simply stopped taking Harry’s calls after his son berated him and repeatedly asked for money.

When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn’t budged, he told her he wasn’t a bank.

The royal couple had retired from royal duties in early 2020 and moved to Canada before moving on to California, where they now live.

Queen Elizabeth II was “devastated” when Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were leaving the royal fold and especially after the amazing interview with US television giant Oprah.
