Prince William is unlikely to forgive his brother Prince Harry, as his departure from life as senior royal put Kate Middleton and their young children in the spotlight prematurely, a royal expert said.

The relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales is fraught with tension after Megxit, when Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle quit as working royals, made some sometimes false claims about the firm and moved into a $14 million mansion in California.

And now, Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl has said 40-year-old heir to the throne Prince William “can’t forgive Harry” because Megxit “brought Kate Middleton and their young family onto the world stage earlier than expected.”

Royal expert Nicholl said: US Weekly: ‘It had a huge impact on him, on Catherine, on their young family.

‘It brought them into that first kind of center. It brought them to the fore much sooner than they otherwise would have.’

She added: “A lot of it was how he chose to do that and what William saw as a huge lack of respect for the institution and for him, his family, his grandmother.”

She added that Charles wants to close the gap between the two brothers so that the gap doesn’t hang over his reign.

While the Queen’s funeral gave the brothers an opportunity to discuss their differences, Katie suggested that any sign of reconciliation was still a long way off for the brothers.

Since Megxit, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, have been thrown into the spotlight.

They’ve gotten more attention for them since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the Firm.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte both attended Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral and also attended Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebration earlier this year, along with their younger brother Prince Louis.

Princess Catherine revealed earlier this month that she still sees Prince Louis as her baby, even though she admits he’s a “big boy” now.

The princess made the sweet comment while speaking to new mothers at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford on Oct. 5.

During her tour of the maternity ward, the mother of three reminisced about her own experience when Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, were all newborns.

She said, “I keep thinking Louis is a baby, but he’s a big boy now. It just feels like yesterday.’

Prince William’s relationship with his brother deteriorated after Harry and Meghan left the firm.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the US after sensationally leaving the royal family in March 2020.

The rift widened even further when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attacked the royal family with a number of claims, many of which were later incorrect or disputed.
