The terrifying moment a mother desperately called for help on a suburban street as she was allegedly stabbed by her ex-partner was captured on a neighbour’s CCTV footage.
Bonnie Garlett, 31, screamed as Leon Bropho allegedly stabbed her 28 times with a screwdriver at her Jules Court home in the Fremantle suburb of Willagee early on Friday morning.
Bropho, 33, was charged with attempted murder in court on Saturday and did not apply for bail.
Mrs Garlett is now recovering in hospital after suffering serious injuries, including a punctured lung.
The mother of five can be heard repeatedly screaming in the harrowing clip: “He’s killing me, he’s killing me. Help me. He’ll kill me. Staff!’

Her mother, Priscilla Little, described Ms. Garlett’s injuries to 9News.
‘One in the neck and one in the lungs. With a screwdriver. It was over… 28 stab wounds,” Ms Little claimed.
According to police reports, she was found by emergency responders bleeding profusely from several stab wounds at a neighbor’s home and treated at the scene.
Ms Garlett was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where she remains a patient.
She reportedly took out a restraining order against Bropho before the alleged incident.
Mrs Little spoke to her ‘scared’ daughter an hour before the alleged attack.
She added that her daughter, Mrs. Garlett, is the “strongest and most amazing girl.”
Bropho is due to appear in court again later in October.
