Will Smith’s video game debut reminds us I Am Legend would have made a great game

No one is more helpful in getting through a post-apocalypse than Will Smith, which is great news for survivors in the upcoming survival game Morning. Developers Lightspeed Studios and Level Infinite released a new trailer for the game on Wednesday announcing the newest character, Trey Jones, played by Smith.

It seems that the developers are taking inspiration for the character from Smith’s past roles, especially his Robert Neville character I am a legend. In that film, Smith plays a lone survivor in a dreary urban setting, which certainly seems to fit Morning‘s general themes.

The developers announced this appearance as Smith’s video game debut, which is surprisingly true. Despite over 30 years of fame, Smith hasn’t appeared in any games other than sitting down for some cover art and a very rough approach to Agent J in Men in Black II: Alien Escape. But he’s never voiced a character in a game before, though we still haven’t seen him speak Morning or.

Morning is an open world survival game where players can collect resources, build bases and team up with other players to survive the world and the dangers of an irradiated world. Morning currently allows players to pre-register for early access to the game, as well as other rewards, and had a closed beta test in April. The game will be released on June 15 for Android, iOS and Windows.
