“I’ll be LIVE from will.i.am’s FYI studios with @djhed, beats and a roll call of resilient Angelenos sharing stories of hope and resources,” he added.

He also encouraged his 3.2 million followers to “check in on Instagram Live or Will.I.Am’s YouTube channel.”

The event is said to be in the same vein as D-Nice’s beloved Club Quarantine, the virtual dance parties he hosted live on Instagram during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Annenberg Foundation’s website added that the event is “a livestream benefit in support of individuals and organizations affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.”

The event will feature live DJ sets from D-Nice and DJ Hed, described as ‘uplifting, soulful sets designed to inspire and connect.’

Maurice will also be joined by ‘local heroes’ who will ‘provide first-hand accounts of resilience during and after the bushfires.’

During the event, viewers can also donate money to support the recovery efforts of first responders, evacuees and displaced workers.

Celebrities such as Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their homes in the Palisades fire.

While many of the smaller fires are under control, the Palisades Fire has currently burned nearly 24,000 acres and is only 21% contained.

The other major fire – the Eaton Fire that has destroyed Altadena and parts of Pasadena, has burned more than 40,000 acres and is 45% contained.

25 people have died in the fires, with more than 13,000 buildings damaged or destroyed in the blazes.

Los Angeles police also announced Wednesday that they have arrested two more arson suspects, bringing the total number of arrests related to the fires to 60, on charges including arson, bugle and more.
