Shocking video shows the moment a 76-year-old Florida woman brazenly flees a crash with the other driver as a hood ornament on her car.
Cheryl Henderson was driving a silver Ford SUV when she crashed a black Ford pickup in Flagler County, Florida, on September 30, according to police.
The unidentified male pickup driver told officers that when he realized Henderson would not stop driving after the crash, he pulled his vehicle in front of hers to force her to do so.
“When he got out of his vehicle and told Cheryl to stop and not leave, she continued to drive toward him, forcing him to jump onto the hood of her vehicle so he wouldn’t be run over,” the release said. declaration.

The affidavit stated that a good Samaritan followed Henderson’s car for two miles before he was able to force her to stop and drive off the road.
He told Click on Orlando he realized she needed to be stopped and maneuvered his car so he could get in front of her and slow her down.
“I tilted my vehicle just enough in front of her so that guy wasn’t in any danger, but it still prevented her from driving and just drove her into the ground,” he said.
Henderson told police she knew she was involved in an accident but didn’t stop because she was out of gas.
She claimed she was trying to walk around him so she could get to a gas station when he jumped on her car.
Police asked why she didn’t stop when he got out, and Henderson said she tried but couldn’t.
The pickup driver tried to get her to stop driving after their first accident, but Henderson fled the scene with the driver on the hood of her car.

After completing their investigation, Henderson was charged with leaving the scene of a crash and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
In body camera footage of her arrest, Henderson is heard saying, “he jumped on my car.”
‘This could have been a deadly incident. Never hit someone else with a car. Fortunately, the victim survived without serious injuries, but I am certain it must have been a frightening moment for the victim holding the hood and for the other witnesses,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly.
“She must never touch a steering wheel again.”
Henderson posted $20,000 bond but was rearrested days later on an unrelated charge against a person 65 years or older.
Her arraignment for the hit-and-run is scheduled for Nov. 6.
