A crazed Oklahoma City man punched and tackled a city bus driver Saturday afternoon, causing the bus to crash into a brick building.
Police arrested the 23-year-old suspect, Tihron Harrison, and charged him with assault and battery, according to local affiliate FOX 25.
According to police, Harrison became irate when the bus driver would not stop the bus at an earlier stop.
“The suspect has asked to be dropped off at the intersection of Britton and Western. The bus driver told him he couldn’t do that,” said Lt. Jeff Cooper of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Video of the incident that followed shows the suspect punching through the plexiglass covering around the driver before trying to pull him out. Ultimately, the attacker managed to yank the driver from his seat and tackle him into the aisle.

A passenger wearing a red hat tried to intervene and get the suspect off the driver, allowing the driver to briefly get free before the bus collided head-on with the Britton Lumber building.
When police arrived on the scene, Harrison was still there but resisting arrest, according to a police report obtained by FOX 25. Harrison then ran away and tried to climb over a fence.
His escape attempt was unsuccessful and police returned him to St. Anthony’s Hospital.
The bus driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
