A heroic Chick-Fil-A delivery driver from the Atlanta area was filmed fighting off an armed robber who made a chilling threat after smashing the drive-thru window.
Security footage from the restaurant on Stone Mountain Highway in Gwinnett County shows the unidentified employee arguing with a masked armed robber who pointed a gun to his head.
The gunman then demanded that the employee open a safe in the manager’s office around 4:30 a.m. on July 1, police said Wednesday.
In a terrifying moment, the suspect allegedly warned the employee that if he didn’t open the safe, he would die, 11 Living reports.
The employee is then seen pushing and wrestling the attacker, causing the suspect to lose his grip on his weapon. The weapon falls to the ground, while the employee manages to pull off the man’s mask, sunglasses and dark hat.

According to police, the assailant, who has since been identified as 51-year-old Tommie Lee Williams, told the employee he would die if he did not open the safe.
The suspect, who has since been identified as 51-year-old Tommie Lee Williams, attempted to resist and was seen several times during the fight attempting to punch and kick the delivery driver.
However, according to police, he fled the restaurant empty-handed before officers arrived on the scene.
The driver told officers he was at work that night when the suspect smashed the drive-thru window with a rock and climbed in through the kitchen.
He then made a terrifying threat, at which the employee resisted him, telling the officers he did not know the combination.

Investigators were eventually able to identify the vehicle they believed the suspect had used to arrive at Chick-Fil-A, which allowed them to identify the suspect as Williams.
Police subsequently issued arrest warrants charging Williams with armed robbery, aggravated assault, second-degree burglary, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and second-degree criminal damage to property.
Williams was eventually arrested on Wednesday with the help of the US Marshals and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department, 11 Alive reports.
