Wild moment brawl erupts at a busy intersection and brings traffic to a standstill in Newtown

Wild footage captured the moment a brawl took place on a busy street in a trendy suburb.

Two men were caught exchanging blows at an intersection on King Street in Newton, Sydney’s west, on Saturday afternoon.

A terrified bystander filmed the altercation with footage showing traffic building as the fighters struggled on the ground.

Two women stepped in and tried to separate the men as they jumped to their feet and continued exchanging punches.

The men were pulled apart and led to the sidewalk where the altercation continued.

‘Just the local Newtown wildlife going about their day!’ another added.

“Lol the police shop is about 100 yards away,” a third person commented.

“I prefer this to royal hits that shut down the nightlife for a few decades,” wrote another.
