Wild moment Bali tourist is stabbed in the back after ‘one-night stand goes horribly wrong’

CCTV has emerged of a tourist being attacked from behind and stabbed by a woman near a popular Bali bar after a one-night stand turned disastrous.

The incident took place near the Sandbar restaurant and pub on the holiday island.

Footage of the confrontational incident, which took place overnight, was captured by cameras from a nearby building.

The clip was later uploaded to Instagram by Italian comedian Christian Giacobbe.

The video shows the man, dressed in a T-shirt, shorts and carrying a bag, walking back to his villa.

The woman, who was seen riding a motorcycle, approached the man from behind and allegedly stabbed him in the back with what appeared to be a knife.

The man was unaware that the object was attached to his back and continued walking while the woman fled on her motorcycle.

The video posted to social media showed the man lying face down on a hospital bed.

Parts of his shirt were covered in blood and the knife, wrapped in a white bandage, was stuck firmly in his back.

A hospital worker was arrested when he tried to help the injured man.

According to Mr Giacobbe, the man had met the local girl in the bar.

“They like each other, they start dancing, they start kissing… they go back to his villa and they do what they always do,” he claimed.

Mr Giacobbe then claimed that the woman became angry when the man asked her to leave a short time later.

He claimed the couple got into an argument after the man refused to pay the woman when she asked him for money after they had sex.

The pair are said to have left the villa before the man helped the woman find the motorcycle.

As he walked back to his villa, she said: [allegedly] “He stabs him,” Mr. Giacobbe claimed.

It is not known what injuries the man sustained.

The incident came after an Australian FIFO worker was repeatedly stabbed while on holiday in Bali in March.

Peter Noel Sidney Nye, 28, suffered serious injuries to his head, face and arms after he and his friend said they were attacked outside a supermarket in Kuta, south Bali.

According to his girlfriend, Nye had been stabbed more than twenty times and her partner had injuries to both arms and his ear.

Indonesia is the second most popular tourist destination for Australian holidaymakers.

According to the latest data, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade handled 401 consular cases in Bali in the 2022-2023 budget year.
