Violence has marred a youth football match in Sydney’s western suburbs after an all-in brawl broke out in the stands, with a female spectator repeatedly punching a man in the face.
Confrontational video footage captured the incident during the match between Granville Rage and Camden Tigers at Rydalmere Park, involving both players and spectators.
The music video shows a woman in a hijab throwing several punches at a man’s face before grabbing another woman in a head grab and slamming her into the seats.
Police, investigating the shocking incident, believe a footballer left the field to attack a man in the crowd – who later had to be taken to Westmead Hospital.
NSW Police have released a statement urging witnesses to come forward and provide more information about the incident.

“Ryde Police Area Command officers are investigating following a brawl in north-west Sydney this weekend,” the statement read.
At around 3pm on Saturday 5th August 2023 two groups were playing a football match at an oval on Park Road, Rydalmere when a fight broke out on the pitch.
“Police have learned that a player left the field and approached a spectator before assaulting a 42-year-old man who sustained an injury to his wrist. The man was taken to Westmead Hospital in stable condition.
Players and spectators tried to break up the fight as others got involved.
“While police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, anyone who witnessed the incident or may have mobile phone vision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
Football NSW has told The Daily Telegraph that they are aware of the incident and have a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards violence.
Football NSW is aware of an incident that occurred during a game on Saturday and has opened an investigation into the matter. No further comment will be made,” said a spokesman.
