Wild claims that Justin Timberlake was on ‘Molly, poppers, coke’ and an HIV medication when he was arrested for DWI in the Hamptons leave social media users baffled
False claims that Justin Timberlake had ‘Molly, poppers, coke’ and an HIV drug in his system when he was arrested in the Hamptons have gone viral on social media.
On Tuesday, news broke that the former NSYNC member, 43, had been taken into custody for drunken driving in the exclusive Hamptons enclave of Sag Harbor.
Afterwards, a satirical account on X, formerly Twitter, fooled many people into believing that the singer was using a range of drugs at the time.
The account, called Poo Crave, cleverly uses a username and display image that is very similar to the popular online media source known as Pop Crave.
So when the satirical profile posted that Justin had “traces” of molly, or ecstasy, in his system, many people mistakenly thought the news came from a legitimate source.
The same profile claimed he had poppers, which are chemicals people inhale to get high, Truvada, a prescription drug used to treat and prevent HIV, and cocaine in his “bloodstream” after the DWI.

“Justin Timberlake reportedly had traces of Molly, poppers, Truvada and coke in his bloodstream after his DWI arrest in New York,” the fake post said.
X has now alerted readers to the tweet, saying Poo Crave was a “satire account.”
“Readers added context they thought people might want to know,” it also said.
‘This is a satire [account]. According to JT’s attorney, “this was a single charge because he refused the breath test.”
”Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other charges of running a stop sign and not driving in the proper lane.” No reports of a blood test.”
In its biography, Poo Crave makes it clear that it has no intention of being taken seriously and that it likes to create ‘chaos’ for ‘retweets’.
But that didn’t stop the post from blowing up and misleading many people.
“There’s no way the police would have tested him for Truvada…WTF is this?” replied one confused user.
