Sydneysiders have marked the start of 2024 with a very early morning dip at the city's most iconic beach after a night of wild partying.
Revelers flocked to Bondi Beach on Monday morning to watch the first sunrise of 2024, after the city rang in the New Year with a fireworks display on Sydney Harbor at midnight.
The seaside was full of people, as some continued their evening of celebration by dancing on the sand, while others relaxed as they enjoyed the first light.
Eager beachgoers also stripped down to their underwear and dashed across the famous golden sands, before bracing themselves in the icy water.
Dozens of brave partygoers chose to dive into the waves, despite temperatures at Bondi Beach remaining around 18 degrees Celsius all morning.
Despite the cold weather, many walked out of the water with a smile on their faces.

The festivities at Bondi Beach come after thousands of Sydneysiders stepped out in style on Sunday, filling pubs, clubs and streets across the city for New Year's Eve.
More than 225,000 people gathered at 49 viewpoints across the city to watch the iconic midnight fireworks.
For some, it was a 17-hour wait after queuing from the early morning hours to get a good spot.
