Wife of ‘Hulk’ star Lou Ferrigno is seen shopping in Los Angeles after filing for divorce and accusing him of flaunting his mistress and keeping her ‘trapped in an abusive marriage’

She is the wife of Hulk star Lou Ferrigno who was revealed last week to have made a series of disturbing allegations against her Hollywood star son-in-law in petitions for divorce and a restraining order.

But while she must be angry after revealing that Lou has a mistress, Carlotta Ferrigno looked relaxed and carefree as she stepped out for a day of shopping in Los Angeles.

With a male companion driving the mum-of-three, the pair appeared unbothered as they were pictured running errands together.

Dressed in an elegant white coat with multicolored leggings and black ballet flats, Carlotta looked effortlessly chic during a visit to Marshalls.

Her blonde locks were worn down and styled to sit on top of her shoulders.

Carlotta’s hair was blowing in the wind as she entered the department store, but settled into a naturally neat look by the time she exited.

DailyMail.com first revealed how Carla filed for divorce, accusing her Hollywood husband of flaunting a mistress and trapping her in an abusive and controlling marriage after she was diagnosed with dementia.

Carla said her husband of 43 years secretly cut off her access to their joint finances and kept her physically isolated to prevent her from divorcing him.

In a signed statement, she also claimed that Ferrigno had an abusive relationship with a mistress named Lisa, “with whom he spends most of his time, travels to his various appearances and flaunts in my face even when he is at home is.’

‘While his infidelity may not be abuse, when I get upset with him about her being there, he physically intimidates me by getting in my face and using his much larger size – he will remind everyone that he is the Hulk – in compared to my slight stature, to frighten and control me into submission,’ she said.

Ferrigno’s lawyer Vatche Zetjian responded in a statement to DailyMail.com, saying: ‘Lou’s priority remains his wife’s welfare. All the restraining orders mentioned in the press recently have been suspended by mutual agreement of the parties.

‘Lou and Carla have agreed to mediate through counsel and Lou’s hope remains that they reach an amicable solution. Lou asks for privacy for all his family members at this time.’

Carla confirmed in the filings that she had been diagnosed with dementia, but both her doctor and attorney said she had consistently expressed her desire for a divorce for years and had the ability to understand that decision.

“Lou decided to hatch what can only be described as a Machiavellian scheme to trap Carla in the marriage so he could hold on to all the assets Carla and Lou had accumulated during their 43-year marriage,” Carla’s lawyers wrote in a filing.

Those assets include the $2.9 million mansion the couple bought in 2019 in Arroyo Grande, California.

Text messages between Lou and Shanna, included in the filings, show Lou grieving that Carla wanted to divorce him more than a year ago.

In several messages, Lou shares his concern that a divorce will mean the loss of their mansion, writing: ‘She can take my house away’ and ‘she wants to take my beautiful house away.’

According to court documents reviewed by DailyMail.com, Carla met with her lawyers Gary Hunt and Alex Newsum on September 8 to seek a divorce.

“Without disclosing any attorney-client communications, I can state that Carla has expressed a clear desire to divorce her husband, Lou Ferrigno, and has hired our office to pursue that action,” Newsum said in a signed statement said.

Newsum said he followed up with a phone call with Carla’s neurologist of the past three years, Dr. Robert Price, to consult on her mental state.

According to Newsum, and verified in a signed letter from Price, the doctor stated his belief that Carla had the capacity to understand and express her desires regarding a divorce, and to follow the necessary legal steps.

On September 14, Carla’s lawyers filed a petition for divorce and a request for a restraining order, which included a statement describing the alleged abuse and a supporting statement from hired caregiver Kari Shaw.

“Through recent filings and statements by his lawyers, Lou has let it be known that I have been diagnosed with dementia, but what he leaves out is that his own frustration with that fact and my aging in a way that prevents me from keeping up with him, led to him insulting me in many ways,’ she said in the statement.

‘I’m not denying that I’m not in the same state as I was when I was younger, but I know what’s going on around me, how Lou is treating me and that he’s trying to make sure I’m treated as completely incompetent so he can run our estate use and can make me die,’ she continued.

“I know I want a divorce and that Lou is trying to stop it by isolating me from other family members,” Carla said.

Carla also matched Lou’s previous claims that her daughter, Shanna, tried to trick her into withdrawing $500,000 from his bank account — although the filing doesn’t specifically say she’s describing the same incident.

In a request for a restraining order, Lou claimed Shanna, a fitness trainer, and her aunt, Carla’s sister Pam Voge, tried to siphon off Carla’s assets, accusing them of ‘financially exploiting Carla’.

Carla said in her statement: ‘I believed I had access to some joint accounts and credit cards but recently went to the bank to access them and Lou used estate planning documents to restrict my access and he was notified of my effort, came to the bank and made sure I didn’t have access to our money in any way.’

The statement makes disturbing allegations that Lou severely restricts Carla’s movements within the mansion by locking interior doors and confining her to her bedroom and the kitchen.

She claims he failed to make the house safer for her deteriorating mental state by installing traction on the stairs, or a fence around the pool.

She claims that her bed smells like dog urine, because her 17-year-old dog had trouble going down stairs to get outside, and that Lou refuses to steam clean the carpet.
