Wife, 48, of Texas judge, 72, is accused of fatally shooting their cousin, 40, in the couple’s $500,000 home during a blazing argument ‘after telling him to move out’

A judge’s wife allegedly shot and killed her cousin during an argument while he was staying at their home, desperately trying to grab the gun.

James Wolfe, 40, was shot in the chest at the home of his uncle, Harris County Justice of the Peace Bob Wolfe, 72, about 9:20 p.m. Thursday.

Bob’s wife Mei Wolfe, 48, was charged with murder for allegedly grabbing a gun during an argument, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

The elder Wolfe called 911 when the situation escalated and tried to grab the gun after Mei reportedly returned to the room waving, but it was too late.

James went on a trip to Europe after graduating from college, but recently returned to Houston and lived with his uncle.

Police said Mei did not get along with her nephew and described the situation between them as “an ongoing feud.”

“It may have been a situation where the female homeowner felt like he was no longer welcome, and a disturbance ensued over that,” Gonzalez said.

“She grabbed a gun and something happened during the altercation and she fired a shot, striking the cousin.”
