The daughter of the conspiracy theorists who gunned down police officers on her remote property has claimed that the young officers who were sent there were left without vital information.

Madelyn Train, in her 20s, admits that no one but her parents are responsible for the cold-blooded act in which they ambushed four police officers as they were leaving their patrol car, but alleges that the police were warned in advance that they distrusted authority.

The perpetrators Nathaniel and Stacey Train, her birth parents, and Nathaniel’s brother Gareth, who married Stacey and assumed the role of their father, had fortified their Wieambilla estate in the Queensland countryside as their backs were turned on him. more and more to society. in delusions of conspiracy.

The trio shot police officers Rachel McCrow, 29, and Matthew Arnold, 26, as the officers were getting out of their patrol car and walking up the driveway of the property during a routine wellness check in December.

Two other police officers barely escaped the barrage of bullets, while neighbor Alan Dare, 58, was shot in the back as he ventured to investigate gunshots and a grass fire.

The police already wanted to talk to Nathaniel about an outstanding warrant for his arrest for firearms offences.

This, along with a missing persons report made by his second wife Vanessa after he disappeared from their home in Walgett, NSW, was what led officers to Wieambilla’s property.

Vanessa received hostile messages from Gareth when she reached out to try to find out where he might have gone.

Just 2 1/2 hours before the trio opened fire, Maddy said she received a call from a Walgett detective who sent a voicemail because he was at work.

The person identified himself as a detective sergeant major and asked him to call them back.

“I think they contacted us to confirm if Nathaniel was missing and to get some background information,” Maddy told 9News in an interview that aired Monday night.

“But they never should have sent anyone there until they got all that contextual information.”

Maddy alleges that Vanessa had also warned the police.

“He had told the cops that he didn’t trust the police, that Gary didn’t trust the police.”

“The NSW police force did not appear to disclose that to the Queensland police force,” Maddy said.

Both the New South Wales and Queensland police forces have said they will not comment on the case as it is the subject of a forensic investigation.
