Wieambilla police shooting: Killers may have made fake missing persons call to lure cops

The new girlfriend of murdered cop Matthew Arnold was excitedly planning her next date with the country cop before her tragic murder at the hands of an evil doomsday prepper trio.
A devastated Arli Trevanion has shared the latest touching message her young boyfriend sent her, just five days before he was shot dead, telling him it is “absolutely amazing” and anxiously planning their next date.
Constable Arnold, 26, was shot dead at point-blank range along with his colleague Rachel McCrow, 29, while attending a missing person call at a rural home in the Queensland town of Wieambilla on Monday.
Conspiracy theorists Nathaniel Train, 46, his brother Gareth, 47, and his wife Stacey, 45, ambushed the couple before shooting a neighbor to death, with two companions narrowly escaping with their lives.
Now grieving the shocking loss of her young boyfriend, whom she had been dating for three months, Ms Trevanion shared a series of heartbreaking messages along with an emoji of a police officer and a white dove.
Arli Trevanion (above in Brisbane) had been dating Tara policeman Matthew Arnold for around three months and the young couple had met five days before her death and were just two days away from meeting again before Christmas.
In a final touching message between the newlyweds posted by the young cop just five days before he was shot at point-blank range, Matt told Arlia Trevanion: “I think you’re absolutely amazing… I’ll be back on Wednesday.”
‘I had an absolutely amazing day with you today, I always do. I’m so glad I can share it with you,’ Agent Arnold told her a few days before he was murdered.
And I’m glad we got to talk about everything and that you felt comfortable and safe enough to talk to me about everything too.
‘I don’t know how I’m going to go 7 whole days without seeing you! But I’m already looking forward to seeing you when I get back. I hope you had as good a day as I did!’
Chillingly, Agent Arnold added: “And I’ll be back Wednesday morning next week.”
But her life would be cut short two days before her next day with Arliah, known as Arli, in Brisbane and reuniting with her family in the run up to Christmas.
Agent Arnold’s devastated young girlfriend shares this tribute to him on social media, saying she “wish we had more time together” and saying he made her “so happy.”
She wrote alongside the Instagram post, saying “you were meant to be with me today,” and also shared a series of touching tributes.
Posting a photo of Agent Arnold enjoying a sunny walk, she wrote: “I wish we had more time together, you made me so happy.”
In another post, he wrote: ‘RIP Matt, I loved our time together. I will miss you so much.
Ms Trevanion works in a Brisbane cafe and is believed to have done some child car safety work at Western Downs on the outskirts of Toowoomba when she met Constable Arnold around August.
During her affair with the 26-year-old police officer, the townspeople of Tara said they believed the young couple had planned a bright future together even from the start.
Agent Matthew Arnold, 26, (pictured) was already getting ready to go home to see friends and family for Christmas.
Ms Trevanion is said to be heartbroken as she mourns members of her family in central Queensland.
She is the daughter of preachers Bonnie and Michael Trevanion, who run New Life Church in the rural Queensland town of Mundubbera.
Her mother refused to comment to Daily Mail Australia about the loss of her daughter, with a friend saying she “is not doing well at the moment”.
An outdoorsman and hiker, Mrs. Trevanion is very close to her father Mike, whom she calls “my best friend.”
He had connected with Agent Arnold, who had been working to address problems related to methamphetamine drug crimes in the city of Tara and make it “a better place.”
“There is a drug problem here in Tara and his mission was to clean the city of drugs,” the woman said.
