The first trailer for Wicked was shared at the start of Sunday’s Super Bowl.
Ariana Grande was seen in her rose gold as Glinda the Good Witch. She wielded Glinda’s recognizable star-shaped wand, billowing dress with puff sleeves and crown.
Also featured was Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.
The film is the upcoming two-part film adaptation of Broadway’s hit 2004 musical Wicked.
The film is about an unlikely friendship that develops between Elphaba and Glinda, two clashing witches in the magical land of Oz.
Elphaba is wrongly cast as an evil witch as she tries to expose the fraudulent, corrupt wizard who rules the land.
The film is scheduled for release on November 27, 2024.

This video comes after Ariana’s emotional post about wrapping Wicked, where she met her boyfriend Ethan Slater.
Ethan plays Boq, a resident of Munchkinland, in the upcoming film based on Gregory Maguire’s best-selling novel and the hit Broadway musical adaptation.

It serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring the story before Dorothy’s arrival and exploring the past friendship between the characters Elphaba and Glinda.
“I will never forget a minute of my year with (Glinda),” Ariana wrote on her Instagram Story. ‘Or you. or my Cyn. Permanently and preferably intertwined.’
She continued, “I’m so inexplicably grateful that we were able to add so many soaked lashes to the collection.”

The film’s director, Jon M. Chu, also got a shout-out.

The sweet farewell comes after Ariana released her first single since 2021.
Yeah so? seemed to address the hate she received over her romance with boyfriend Ethan, who she started dating shortly after her divorce from Dalton Gomez.
Repeatedly asking: ‘Yes, and?’ she encourages listeners to think about why they feel compelled to comment on her life.
“Your business is your own, and mine is mine,” the pop princess also moans, before adding, “Why do you care so much whose dick I ride?”
Ariana came under public scrutiny in July when rumors swirled that she was dating her Wicked costar Ethan, just days after news of her split from Dalton broke.
To further raise eyebrows, Ethan had recently ended his marriage to Lilly Jay, his high school sweetheart.
They had welcomed their first baby together in August 2022 and he filed for divorce from her in July 2023.

To mark the end of her days as Glinda the Good Witch, the Thank U, Next singer, 30, shared a behind-the-scenes image of her silhouette, with the caption “handprint on my heart,” referencing the song For Good , from the 2003 hit musical Wicked
The fiery track also comes after it was reported that Ariana and Ethan had taken their relationship to the next level in November, with the Dangerous Woman singer now living with her Wicked co-star in New York City while he performs in Spamalot.
The pair met in December 2022 on the British set of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Wicked.
Both couples announced their split within days of each other in July 2023, with Ariana announcing her split from Dalton just three days before confirming her new relationship with Ethan, who subsequently filed for divorce from Lilly.
Yeah so? serves as the lead track for Ariana’s anticipated seventh studio album, which she began hinting at in late December.
The pop icon dropped her latest studio album, Positions, in 2020.
Wicked is expected to hit theaters in November 2024.
