Wicked teaser showcases stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo singing beloved songs
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s vocals are featured in a new compilation teaser for their highly anticipated musical fantasy film Wicked.
The latest part of the promotional campaign comes just over three weeks before Jon M. Chu’s live-action film adaptation opens in theaters across the US.
“Just wait until you see this,” says the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) to Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo), who has already transformed into Wicked Witch Of The West.
From there Mr. Oz, who is everything Decked out in a green suit, you can see his magic working and the many different levers of the machine that lie behind his mystic, before seeing an overview of Emerald city.
And there’s a brief look at Peter Dinklage as the voice of Doctor Dillamond, professor of goat and history at Shiz University.

Mr. Oz is decked out in a green suit as he works his magic and uses the many different levers of the machinery behind his mystic.
You can then see the two ladies lying next to each other on their respective beds, singing a few lines from What Is This Feeling?, a song from the musical Wicked that appears on the Wicked musical album.
Fans can also see and hear the British actress, 37, sing The Wizard And I from the original musical, most of which is sung by Elphaba.
By the time the two stars begin to harmonize, you can see the Wicked Witch flying over the horizon on her broomstick, while Glinda shows off some of her magical moves, dressed in a pink ensemble.
Co-star Jonathan Bailey, 36, also sings in the clip, giving you more of a taste of his Dancing Through Life.
Once the teaser starts. At the end, the Wicked Witch Of The West lets out a few lingering notes that she also holds for dramatic effect.
As the images, sounds and music begin to build to a crescendo, the clip: ‘The Magical Event of the Year Arrives’ flashes across the screen, between the changes in scenery.
Along with Eviro and Grande, 31, the cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, Peter Dinklage, Aaron Teoh, Grecia de la Paz , Colin Michael Carmichael, Adam James and Andy Nyman.
The film is about an unlikely friendship that develops between Elphaba and Glinda, two clashing witches in the magical land of Oz.
Elphaba is wrongly cast as an evil witch as she tries to expose the fraudulent, corrupt wizard who rules the land.

Wicked serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring the story before Dorothy’s arrival and deepening the former friendship between characters Elphaba and Glinda.
Directed by Michael M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, Wicked is scheduled for November 27, with a direct sequel, Wicked Part Two, following a year later.
Wicked is the origin story of “a green-skinned woman who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.”
It serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring the story before Dorothy’s arrival and exploring the past friendship between the characters Elphaba and Glinda.
The stars will begin their press tour in the coming days, with the first premiere next weekend, November 3, in Stdney, Australia.
Wicked is scheduled for November 27, with a direct sequel, Wicked Part Two, following a year later.
