Apparently no expense has been spared on the set of the upcoming Wicked movie, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
New footage shows that a tulip field, said to be the size of 12 football fields, has been planted in Norfolk for the highly anticipated film.
The show’s stars have been spotted on set in the UK on several occasions, and the tulip field is the latest filming location to be revealed.
About 21 acres of brightly colored pink, red and white tulips have been planted in the field for the film, set in the magical Land of Oz.
Drone images show the enormous scale of the flower field, where recordings have been made for the Universal Pictures production in recent days.

A smaller field of the iconic yellow brick road from the movie was also seen in the new images, with the larger field presumably used for wider shots.
The tulip field is just over two hours from where Wicked is filmed on a purpose-built set in a farmer’s field in the Buckinghamshire village of Ivinghoe.
The Land of Oz, a beautiful town of tiny houses with colorful thatched roofs, grew up on farmland and Ariana, who plays Glinda the Good Witch, was seen there last week filming the first scene of the film.
Set largely before Dorothy’s arrival in Oz, Wicked tells the story from the perspectives of the witches, Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda.
Ariana will star opposite Cynthia, who plays Elphaba in the two-part adaptation, and shooting will continue through August.
The magnificent Emerald City, the capital of the Land of Oz, is also taking shape in an adjacent field, with the green domed roofs already in place.
Based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel of the same name, Wicked was first performed on Broadway in 2003 before premiering three years later at London’s Apollo Theatre.

Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman, who co-wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway show, have adapted the screenplay with Jon M Chu directing.
Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum will also star in the film, which will be released late next year.
Jonathan Bailey appears as Fiyero Tigelaar, who gets engaged to Glinda in the play and movie Wicked, even though his true love for Elphaba pulls him away from her.
He later becomes the character known as the Scarecrow, who was played by Ray Bolger in the movie starring Judy Garland.
The thespian is a renowned stage star known for contemporary plays as well as roles in Othello and King Lear.

Saturday Night Live actors Bowen Yang, Adam James, Keala Settle and Bronwyn James are also part of the cast.
Last month, Goldblum revealed that he had been cast in the movie when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“I was just on the set of Wicked. I can’t talk about that. But it’s out and over,” he said. “You should see our witches, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, very good.”
Fans of the hit Broadway musical will have to wait to see the full story via film, as Wicked is split into two parts.
The first film is currently slated for a November 27, 2024 release in theaters, with the second chapter arriving in December of the following year.
