Why Travis Kelce isn’t attending Taylor Swift’s final ever Eras Tour show
Travis Kelce will be conspicuous tonight in his absence from Taylor Swift’s final ever Eras Tour show in Vancouver… but he has a very good excuse.
Of course that happens his own high-profile day job — as one of the NFL’s top targets for the Kansas City Chiefs.
This week’s schedule sets up a frustrating showdown for one of the world’s most famous couples, with Kelce playing for the Chiefs against the LA Chargers at the exact same time his girlfriend takes the stage for the final time on her tour.
Kelce has been to a whopping 14 Swift’s Eras Tour shows, while she’s seen him play football 19 times since their relationship began last year.
Sunday night will also be the first game Swift has missed at Arrowhead this season after heading to Kansas City for the previous six games.
Kelce will surely be devastated to miss such a big night for his other half as the curtain falls for the final time on her sold-out tour show in Vancouver.

The Shake It Off singer will perform at a sold-out BC Place for the 149th date of the tour, playing in 53 cities around the world to more than 10 million fans.
The tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, before she even met Kelce for the first time.
Since then, her life has changed dramatically and she is ending her live shows with a long-term boyfriend in the form of one of the biggest football stars in the NFL.
According to the BBC, the Eras Tour has generated more than $2 billion in ticket sales while boosting local economies.
Kelce can’t be there because the Chiefs have a game at the exact same time as the show
Swift has been to Kelce’s 19 games since they met at the start of the 2023 season
Swift is now expected to take some time off the road, and her time off will likely involve some more Chiefs football watching her man.
After the game against the Chargers in Kansas City, the Chiefs will head to Cleveland next weekend – the city where Kelce grew up.
They then host the Texans in their final home game of the regular season before wrapping up with trips to Pittsburgh and Denver.
From there, Swift, Kelce and Co will be hoping for another Super Bowl run – while Andy Reid’s team will go for the three-peat, with this season’s showpiece event taking place in New Orleans in February.
