Nightcap National Park is located in northern New South Wales, near the Queensland border, an hour and 15 minutes’ drive inland from Byron Bay.
It has a series of beautiful hiking trails that wind through the lush rainforest full of mesmerizing waterfalls, crystal clear creeks, spectacular views and towering trees.

Spanning over 8,000 acres of ancient woodland, Nightcap National Park is located in the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia’s World Heritage Area and is named after the newly discovered and endangered dormouse oak.
Many of the forest’s waterfalls flow strongly after a period of wet weather on the state’s northern coast.
Popular attractions include the incredible Minyon Falls lookout with views across the forest to the coast, as well as the Boggy Creek Walk, where visitors can take a refreshing dip in the clear pools along the creek.
