A photo of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese alongside American musician Luke Combs has enraged Australians when the pair ‘ran into’ each other at a private jet hanger.

Mr Albanese posted the image to Instagram and said he had come across the internationally renowned country music artist on a hanger in Melbourne.

Mr. Combs is currently on a nationwide sell-out tour, while Mr. Albanese traveled from Sydney after the Women’s World Cup final to congratulate the Spanish team’s victory.

The caption to Mr Albanese’s post reads: ‘Stumbled upon this man in Melbourne – country music legend Luke Combs, enjoying a sold-out tour of Australia and loving his reception’.

But some Aussies were not impressed.

“Just a picture of old friend Albo hanging out with an international superstar in a hangar next to a private jet,” someone said.

‘But don’t forget, Australia. He grew up in public housing!’

Another added: “More interested in selfies than the run-down state of Australia.”

A third stated: ‘I love music, but it’s a bit sad that our climate and ancient tree forests don’t get as much attention from you – then and only then might music, and all of us, have a future.

Mr Combs was spotted boarding his Brisbane jet on his way to Sydney between shows last week.

His show in Sydney on August 17 had a particularly special guest, with South Sydney Rabbitoh’s star, Latrell Mitchell, joining the country music star on stage.

‘It was unbelievable! It was a 10 out of 10. Words cannot justify my emotion and the experience. It was just incredible,” Latrell told Daily Mail Australia.
