Why Beyoncé ‘forced’ Jay-Z to walk the red carpet for daughter Blue Ivy’s film Mufasa after rape allegation

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s marriage has been under ‘strain’ since the allegations against Diddy came to light – but she is determined to ‘keep their family together’ despite the shocking allegations now made against her own husband, claim insiders.

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl along with Sean “Diddy” Combs in September 2000, in a lawsuit filed Sunday.

The world-famous rapper, 55, labeled the allegations “heinous” and “idiotic” as he slammed attorney Tony Buzbee, who has filed several lawsuits in recent months accusing Combs, also 55, of sexual assault and rape.

Carter joined Beyoncé, 43, about 24 hours after the news broke, with the pair putting on a united front to support their 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy at the premiere of her new film Mufasa: The Lion King in Los Angeles on Monday night.

The Cowboy Carter singer, who is reportedly working with a crisis specialist, is said to have ‘forced’ her accused husband to attend as she wants to face the allegations ‘head-on’.

“Beyoncé forced Jay-Z to go to the premiere last night,” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com. ‘They work together with a crisis specialist who advises them on how to deal with this.

“Beyoncé believes the best way is to face it. Blue Ivy is well aware of what is going on and wants to support her father in any way she can. She was there in solidarity with her father and mother.

“Beyoncé will do everything she can to keep their family together, but is also concerned that more women will come forward with lies.”

Beyoncé expected Carter to become involved in the Combs scandal, as the rappers have been friendly rivals for decades and her husband often attended his famous White Parties.

In September, Combs was charged with racketeering, “sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion” and “transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.”

Despite their long history, Carter remained silent when his friend was locked behind bars in a Brooklyn detention center and denied bail multiple times.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent highlighted Carter’s silence in a series of barbed Instagram posts and also mocked his presence at last night’s premiere.

“This has been hanging over their heads since Diddy’s arrest,” the source said of Beyoncé and Carter.

“It’s put a strain on their marriage since the video surfaced of Diddy attacking Cassie. They’ve had a lot of discussions about what would happen if Jay were ever convicted of something involving Diddy.

“He’s been his best friend for over twenty years.”

Roc Nation founder Carter released a furious statement denying and condemning the allegations, describing it as an “attempt at blackmail.”

He attacked Buzbee, suggesting he was not a legitimate lawyer, and launched a slew of insults, calling him a “deplorable human being” and an “ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”

The rapper then said that it is ‘unfair’ that his family, especially his eldest daughter Blue Ivy, will also be affected.

“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he wrote. “My wife and I will have to sit down our children, one of whom is at the age when her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.

‘I mourn yet another loss of innocence.

‘Children shouldn’t have to experience this at a young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand the inexplicable level of malice designed to destroy families and the human spirit.”

He added: ‘Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have made against me which, without the severity of the harm to children, would be laughable.’

Carter is accused of assaulting a woman, identified in legal documents as Jane Doe, at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty on September 7, 2000 – the same year he started dating Beyoncé.

According to the lawsuit, she was driven to a house party and offered a drink that left her feeling “woozy, light-headed and groggy.” [like] she had to lie down.’

Combs and Carter then allegedly entered the room as Combs declared, “You’re ready to party!”

She claims Carter then took off her clothes, held her down and raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity watched.

She says Combs also raped her while Carter and the woman watched.

The lawsuit was originally filed last October in the Southern District of New York against Combs.

It was refiled Sunday naming Carter as a defendant.

Beyoncé is comforted by her close friend and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams, 45, who prayed with the singer and acted as her “rock.”

Beyoncé married the billionaire rapper in 2008. They welcomed Blue Ivy in 2012 and seven-year-old twins Rumi and Sir in 2017.

They were plagued by false rumors in 2014 when footage of Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles apparently attacking Carter in an elevator at a Met Gala after-party leaked online.

Two years later, Beyoncé seemed to allude to infidelity and a marriage in crisis on her Lemonade album.

Carter’s album 4:44, released 14 months later, told the story of a woman who was cheated on and included the lyrics: “I apologize, make a woman often… I don’t deserve you.”
