Why Barbie fans go crazy over Margot Robbie’s FEET

Social media users are obsessed with Margot Robbie’s feet in the new Barbie movie trailer that mirrors the iconic doll pose in which she stands on tiptoe.

After the official trailer was released on Tuesday, fans of the doll took to Instagram and Twitter to gulp about the look of the 32-year-old protagonist’s feet.

At the beginning of the clip, Margot is seen stepping out of a pair of pink sparkly heels, allowing fans to catch a glimpse of her from the calf.

As the platinum blonde protagonist removes her feet from the shoes, viewers see her standing in the Barbie pose, making it appear as if she’s wearing an invisible pair of heels — her foot arched and her toes pointed.

The shot caused a social media meltdown, with many people admitting that they would pay for a ticket to look better.

Viewers flocked to social media to share their thoughts on the actress’ feet, with one fan writing, “She only takes her foot out of the heel to make it into a barbie’s foot…THAT’S CINEMA.”

Another person wrote, “The first shot of the Barbie The Movie trailer is a shot of Margot Robbie’s feet. They know there’s a huge group of guys willing to pay to see this in IMAX.”

“Can we talk about how beautiful Margot Robbie’s feet are?” said another person.

Other people joked about developing a “foot fetish” because of the blonde beauty’s curved foot.

Movie fans also suggested that the shots of the actress’s feet were a nod to one of director Greta Gerwig’s colleagues.

Including a collection of stills from his movies showing feet, one person said, “Directed by Quentin Tarantino.”

Quentin, who cast Margot in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, has previously been accused of having a foot fetish.

The director’s films often feature close-ups of people’s feet.

Because of this, he has even been forced to address his alleged foot fetish before.

Speaking to GQ in 2021, he said, “There are a lot of feet in a lot of movies from good directors. Before me, Luis Buñuel, another movie director, was the person who defines foot fetishism. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola was accused of it.’

The trailer comes after the teaser that paid tribute to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odysseyand now fans get another glimpse into the dazzling world of ‘Barbieland’ with Margot and Ryan Gosling like Barbie and Ken.

The film features the actress having fun with her beau, Ken, in Barbieland, where many versions of the iconic doll exist.

Viewers are thrown into a world where all the women are named Barbie and the men are named Ken.

This leads to a chorus of ‘Hello Barbie!’ when Margot’s character hits the beach.

Throughout the film, Margot cruises through Barbieland, a cotton candy-colored town filled with bright pastels.

Based on Ruth Handler’s Mattel fashion dolls, the film is the very first live action Barbie movie to hit the big screen, and features a screenplay Greta co-wrote with her partner, Noah Baumbach.

The film is scheduled to release on July 21 this year.
